The Bridge Renewal Trust is celebrating Black History Month during October with a programme of events at Chestnuts Community Centre on the theme of ‘Celebrating a History in the Making’.

All events will be held at the Chestnuts Community Centre, 280 St Ann’s Road, London N15 .

Cultural market (22 and 29 October)

Every Saturday there will be a market offering fashion, arts and crafts, jewellery, books, natural products and much more. Free entry.

 


Information and Awareness Day (3.00 – 6.00pm, 20 October)

Vegetarian Cookery Workshop (3.00 – 8.00pm, 22 October)

Learn how to make healthy vegetarian dishes. The session includes a demonstration and a chance to network. Click here to book.

 


Women’s Health Workshop (6.30 – 8.30pm, 28 October)

Healthy Eating Event (4.00 – 6.00pm, 29 October)

The coconut workshop with Prophet Newton. Learn how to open a coconut, make your own coconut oil and create a dish using the coconut. Click here to book.

 


Black History Month Grand Finale (3.00 – 6.00pm, 30 October)

Including the history of reggae music and live performances by local community groups. Music will be provided by Unity Radio and Lloydie Banks. Catering provided by Ultimate Desire Catering.
